St James Quarter is a new retail led, lifestyle district that fully integrates into and enhances Edinburgh’s City Centre. St James Quarter houses an enviable line up of restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, public spaces and leisure venues covering 1.7 million square feet.
GG Glass & Glazing were chosen to install numerous shopfronts in the development. Working with architects and fit-out companies to realize the client’s end vision. The glass specification being toughened laminated for strength and security with low iron for extra transparency. This was encompassed in aluminium supporting systems with feature louvres. GG took care of the design and installation from beginning to completion. With some difficult logistics involving transporting large heavy glass panels from the delivery area to the build area. This involved negotiating around a large site over 3 floors requiring the need of specialist lifting equipment and cranes. Working alongside other companies and trades to get the job completed in a timely and efficient manner.
