Job Description:
We are seeking to recruit a Transport Compliance Manager who will be wholly responsible for controlling the day-to-day activities of the transport that includes a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles. You will manage and run the company’s fleet of cars, vans and trucks and oversee the time management of vehicles and fuel usage. A key requirement will be to ensure compliance and vehicle management across all branches within the group which will require travel on a regular basis to inspect records and the fleet.
Ideally with experience within construction industry, this role would suit an experienced transport manager who is passionate about their work and keeps up to date with current and future legislation.
You will ensure compliance of Operating License conditions and drivers’ hours are adhered to.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor, maintain and improve policies to exceed the obligations set by the commission for a standard international Operator’s Licence.
- Manage and maintain servicing/MOTs/repair work.
- Manage and control the budget costs for the fleet maintenance.
- Responsible for keeping the fleet clean tidy and promoting the standard of the company’s image
- To hold any operating licences in line with the Good Vehicles (Licencing of Operators) Act 1995 as appropriate to the company’s business.
- To ensure at all times that the company’s haulage fleet stays compliant with all current legislation and to apply best practice wherever possible.
- To ensure an adequate level of transport programming is applied to maximise the efficiency and profitability of the transport assets.
- To manage the transport operations in legal compliance with the legislation and regulation that bares on its operational activities, and ensure adequate record-keeping to demonstrate compliance with European and UK legislation and regulation.
- To train and develop the skills and knowledge of the company’s employee’s under the manager’s control so that they can carry out their duties more effectively and efficiently.
- Report accidents and near misses on appropriate company form. And as soon as reasonably possible.
- To any other duties as reasonably requested by management (for which training will be provided as appropriate).
- Responsible for drivers documentation and their daily vehicle checks.
- To provide monthly reports to the directors on fleet maintenance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ experience within a Transport Management role overseeing a large-scale transport and distribution operation.
- Detailed knowledge of DVSA regulatory requirements regarding Operator Licences and fleet management activities in general
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise own workload to meet the demands of a fast-paced working environment
- Holder of Transport Manager’s CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Certification
- FORS Experience is essential for this role
- A full understanding of Tachograph, working time and all relevant driver’s hours legislation
- A full understanding of the requirements for transport compliance within the UK and ROI
- Significant experience and knowledge of transport regulations

Reporting to the Head of National Accounts and working as part of a small team, National Account Co-Ordinators are the point of call for our National Account clients and their reactive glazing needs.
Working within a fast paced office environment, National Account coordinators are responsible for the customer facing communications on all jobs logged through the department.
Responsibilities and duties of the role include but not limited to:
Logging of new jobs on Enterpryze Customer Management system and dispatching to relative branch/contractor
Booking in and follow ups of jobs to ensure satisfactory completion
Updating of customer portals providing management information and key updates
Uploading of quotations/invoices to customer portals
Chasing up quote approvals to increase sales
Providing support to the Account Managers/Head of National Accounts through varying administrative tasks when needed
Attending client meetings in support of the Account Managers to develop trading relationships
The ideal candidate for this role will need to be calm when under pressure, show strong customer service skills, be fully computer literate due to the varying customer portals used and have an eye for detail. We are looking for Fabricators to fabricate ALUMINIUM Shopfronts, Doors, Windows, Bi-Folds, Patios etc for the Commercial & Domestic Markets with the following attributes:
- Good knowledge of, and ability to fabricate using Systems such as Kestrel, Senior, Smart & Metal Technologies.
- Must be able to Cut, Drill, Rout and use Punch Tools, as part of the fabrication process, where required.
- Must be able to Factory Glaze Door Leaves (toe and heel method).
- The ability to weld Aluminium would be an advantage but is not essential.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the ideal candidate for this role will require previous experience of fabrication, a keen attitude to work as part of a small team to meet the demands of the business and an eye for detail

Duties will include;
- You will need to be experienced in cutting glass of various thicknesses using a computerised cutting table
- Cutting glass by hand using straight edge, tape and glass cutting tools
- Sealing and making double glazed units using a hot melt machine
- Lifting and manoeuvring of glass sheets by manual handling and by overhead crane- (training can be provided)
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and glazing lorries
- To carry out a monthly stock return glass and associated products
- A fork lift licence would be beneficial
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday – Friday working hours between 08.00am- 17.00pm, applicant must be flexible when required & over time may be available when required.
