GG Glass & Glazing support Greggs on school project

July 24, 20180

Here at GG Glass & Glazing we were recently delighted to be able to support Greggs, who are one of our national accounts, on a fantastic, worthwhile school project.

Working for the Cheshire-based Hebden Green School, a specialist establishment for those with a broad range of physical disabilities, medical needs and associated learning difficulties, Greggs’ shop development department was tasked with creating an outdoor space for key stage 2 pupils.

As well as painting sheds, fences and furniture and putting a roof on the outside classroom, this included making fiddle boards and sensory areas and constructing a sandpit for the students.

Best of all, the big challenge that was set was to do it all one day!

Thanks to the hard work of everyone involved, this test was ultimately passed with flying colours, with Helen Ashley, Assistant Head of Hebden Green School, commenting:

“We hugely appreciate all of your time and we hope when you visit us you will see how incredibly worthwhile this project and your time is.”

In addition, we received a lovely thank you letter from Garry Graham, Greggs’ Head of Shop Development, for our donation. You can read this by clicking here.

Feel free to have a browse through a selection of images of the finished product below:

We are sure you will agree that the space will offer pupils an engaging, colourful space to both continue and advance their learning.

Seeing these pics further motivates the team at GG Glass & Glazing to carry on supporting causes that we feel passionate about. Only earlier this year, for instance, four staff members raised over £8,000 for charity and completed the London Marathon for Sense.
